20+ Years of Indigenous-Led Crisis Response in Darfur

The largest survivor-led humanitarian network delivering last-mile aid across every major IDP camp in Darfur and beyond.

Measured Impact at Scale

Through global coordination & localized response, our decentralized network has sustained displaced communities since the start of the 2003 genocide. In the face of immeasurable odds, we rapidly deploy & scale community kitchens, clinics, schools, and sheltersโ€”mobilizing quickly when forced displacement demands mobile operations.

How we Operate

  1. Local needs assessment by indigenous communities & leaders
  2. Diaspora coordination & procurement
  3. Last-mile delivery via kitchens, clinics, schools, shelters through IDP volunteers
  4. Monitoring, verification, and rapid mobility when sites are attacked in indigenous languagesย ensuring accessibility across targeted communities
  5. M&E & due-diligence tacking & reporting for donors ensuring continuity on all fronts

CRISIS UPDATE

ZamZam & El Fasher Emergency (April 2025โ€“Present)

We are evacuating, feeding, treating, and sheltering families displaced by the ZamZam massacre and the ongoing siege in El Fasher. Our model scales via mobile clinics, community kitchens, and temporary shelters.

Current Crisis Response: ZamZam, El Fasher, Tawilah, Khazan Jadeed, Milit

Following the April 13, 2025 capture of ZamZam and subsequent displacement, our volunteers are evacuating survivors to Shagra, Tawilah, Milit, & Khazan Jadeed, establishing mobile kitchens, clinics, and temporary shelters at evacuation sites. The siege has made it difficult to continue sourcing life-saving supplies. Act now to make a difference.

Financials & Accountability

We maximize each dollar through volunteer delivery and indigenous networks while upholding fiduciary controls tailored to highโ€‘risk contexts. Our fiscal sponsor ConnectHer is a registered NGO in the United States. Donations made through our site, directly to ConnectHer’s Paypal go directly to the ground.
